Venerable Phra Ajahn Sao Kantasilo Mahathera (1861–1942) was a monk in the Thai Buddhist forest tradition.
He was a member of the Dhammayuttika Nikaya. Ajahn Mun Bhuridatta Mahathera was one of his most famous disciples. The two were known to travel together frequently, wandering through the forests of Thailand in the tudong tradition of monks leaving the more sedentary monastic life behind and taking on many (if not all) of the thirteen dhutaṅga (ascetic) practices allowed by the Buddha in the Pāli canon.
After his cremation, his bone fragments were distributed to people in the Thai provinces. According to his followers they changed into crystalline relics (sarīradhātu) in various shades.
